Some private commissions I've illustrated of people as superheroes on 'comic book covers'.

This is a tattoo design I illustrated which was intended to wraparound the length of a client's arm from the shoulder down to the wrist. The client was big Marvel and DC Comics fan. His original concept was to try and have a comic strip running in a sequence but it proved too difficult from a storytelling point of view to try and shoehorn as many characters in as he wanted, so we agreed on a montage of his favourite comic book superheroes and villains instead.  I've managed to complete a couple of private commissions in between children's book work recently. I was approached by a couple of clients who wanted me to recreate a Batman and Superman comic book cover featuring their friends and family. With the assistance of Jack Davies providing the colouring on the Superman Cover, here are the illustrations I came up with (images slightly edited for purposes of anonymity):   Whilst I've been on a good run of illustration work since my last work update, there are periods of time when nothing happens and attracting other drawing work outside of the publishing sector is vitally important. Private commissions are not an area I've spent much time in promoting, but I seem to be getting more enquiries in this area of late so I thought I'd display a commission I completed recently. I was approached to produce a custom / bespoke comic a couple of months back. The client came to me with a story and I provided some guidance for him to draft it up into a script which I was able to edit and produce the artwork for.
